LinkedIn is a valuable tool for building professional networks and enhancing career opportunities. It allows users to display professional achievements, join communities, and leverage learning tools to remain competitive in the job market.

Pedagogical Considerations

The workshop aims to equip teachers with knowledge and tools to integrate LinkedIn as a learning tool for students. Participants will understand how to guide students in creating meaningful LinkedIn profiles, joining educational groups, and using LinkedIn Learning for academic development.

Theoretical Foundation

The instructional approach blends Constructivism and Cognitivism. Constructivist strategies involve learner reflection and social interaction, while Cognitivist strategies emphasize the structured organization of knowledge to improve understanding and retention.

• Pre-Assessment: Google Form to assess familiarity with LinkedIn features.
• Bridge-in/Ice-Breaker: Share personal stories and experiences using LinkedIn.
• Profile Creation (30 mins): Hands-on setup of LinkedIn profiles.
• LinkedIn Groups (30 mins): Create and explore group functionalities.
• Break (15 mins)
• Build Network (30 mins): Add connections, join groups, follow organizations.
• Post-Assessment (15 mins): Learners summarize key takeaways and classroom applications.
• Wrap-up & Q&A (30 mins): Create a group, add participants, and engage in discussion activities.
